Sedna in Sedona

The painting above is my soul portrait painted before Sedna the planet was discovered. I see the painting representing, Sedna, the Arctic Inuit tribe, goddess of the sea, who is holding the dwarf planet, Sedna, in her fingerless hand & ocean body, made up of dolphins, seahorse, sea turtles, fish, all her sea children that Sedna, gave birth to, as the triple goddess, maiden, mother and crone.
At the top right,
my Spiritual Guide, the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Kuhl.
I commissioned this soul portrait in 2004, a month before the announcement of Sedna, as the 10th planet.
It was painted by visionary artist, Cher Lyn, Sedona's Mystic Art Medicine Woman, who is now in Spirit.

This symbol for Sedna came to me in vision while drumming, an hour after hearing on public radio that a 10th planet named Sedna had been discovered. After hearing this, I went to the Sedona Heart Center where I worked as an astrologer. It was on March 15, 2004, and my day to lead the noontime drumming prayer circle, we offered each day as a service to the community. Four people were around the large Mother drum that day. I told them about Sedna a new planet that was just discovered and dedicated the drumming to Sedna and this symbol appeared to me. This is a photo of Sedna card from my Astro-Oracle deck

The Discovery of Sedna: Goddess of the Sea
Sedna, a dwarf planet discovered in 2003, is named after the arctic Inuit tribe, goddess of the sea. This celestial body was first spotted by astronomers during the special planetary alignment called, the "Harmonic Concordance," on a rare lunar eclipse. in November 2003, Sedna's announcement as a new planet came on March 15, 2004.
The Legend of Sedna
According to Inuit mythology, Sedna is the goddess of the sea. One variation of the legend tells the story of Sedna, a motherless child raised by her father. Despite her father's wishes, Sedna refuses to marry, and her father eventually forces her to wed a mysterious, hooded man. The man reveals himself as a raven, and flies Sedna to his nest, he does what raven's do, and goes hunting for meat and throws it to her to eat. She is not happy. Sedna's cries for help reach her father who comes in his kayak attempting to rescue her. However, when the raven sees Sedna is gone, he sees her in the kayak with her father, then the seas get rough and the raven tries to get Sedna. Sedna's father throws her into the ocean to save himself, and as Sedna tries to climb back into the kayak, her father cuts off her fingers. From the blood of Sedna's hands, all sea life is born, including seals, whales, dolphins, and fish.
Sedna sinks to the bottom of the ocean, becoming the mother of all sea life. The Inuit people honor her as their goddess of the sea, recognizing her as the giver of food and sustainer of life. When the ocean is stormy, and fishing is impossible, the Inuit believe that Sedna has been dishonored. Their shamans go to the sea and pray to Sedna, asking her forgiveness for upsetting Mother Nature. They make offerings, asking her to accept their sincere prayers and their gratitude, and to please calm down to restore peace and balance. They thank her for all the fish and sealife she provides to keep them nourished.
Personal Reflections on Sedna's Message
Through my personal experience and connection with Sedna, I have come to understand her message as a call for the emergence of the feminine. Sedna's story represents the struggle for balance and harmony in a world where the feminine principle has been suppressed. Her legend invites us to reclaim the power of the divine feminine, honoring the sacred union of masculine and feminine energies within ourselves and the world.
Sedna the Dwarf Planet

Sedna resides in the farthest known regions of our solar system, beyond Pluto. Its eccentric almost 12,000 year orbit has brought it close to Earth, a rare occurrence, that last happened at a matriarchal era and the timeframe of 11,000 to 12,000 years ago coincides with the end of the last ice age and the beginning of an era which saw significant changes in climate, sea levels and human societies.

Notably, Sedna is a red planet, much like the red rocks of Sedona. I believe this shared coincidence and the name, Sedona, represents the missing "O" in Sedna's name symbolizes Sedona being the birthing place of Sedna and main portal for the New Earth.
